Motor units - Condition - Used

The engine control unit, referred to by Ford as the PCM – Powertrain Control Module, is a key component of engine electronics. Older EEC-V units, used for example in the Ford Focus MK1 or Mondeo MK3, are paired only with the keys and are usually located inside the cabin near the passenger A-pillar. Newer PCM units, such as those found in the Ford Focus MK2 or Mondeo MK4, are paired not only with the keys but also with the instrument cluster or GEM module. They are most commonly installed in the left front wheel arch near the bumper, but some versions – such as the Focus MK2, Fiesta MK5, and Fusion – have the unit mounted directly next to the car battery.
